Choose the option that most closely matches your locs. Don’t stress if you’re unsure! We’ll confirm your density together during your consultation at the beginning of your appointment.
Loc count can be a helpful starting point, but it isn’t the only factor used to determine density. Loc size, overall fullness, scalp coverage, and the amount of maintenance needed can all affect which option best fits your locs.
Why Density Matters
Density helps reserve the appropriate amount of time for your appointment.

Although this client has high-density locs, over half of the scalp is shaved. Because fewer locs are being maintained, this appointment would typically be booked as Light Density.

This client has medium-density locs with a partial undercut. Even though individual locs are on the smaller side, the reduced scalp coverage means less maintenance time than a full head. So this appointment would be booked as Light Density as well.
That’s okay! Choose the option that most closely resembles your locs. We’ll confirm your selection together during your consultation at the beginning of your appointment.
